Proposal of Ideas

The main story for my movie: detective David Hanez finds his 7 year service partner dead in his apartment, acclaimed to be a suicide. the devastation of his friends death sends David on a continuing spiral of anger, depression and disorder. as his days at the agency become numbered, a month after the passing of his partner, David receives a mysterious package containing info on his partners past as well as how he died, stating that is was not suicide. as more murders appear with the packages relating to each murder detective Hanez gets closer to finding out the mysteries within his recent events.

the narrative will be simple and straight forward

the editing of the movie for the main part will be quick and exciting, while long drawn out shot will be used to build tension.
i have decided to take this movie in a new direction in the world of film mainly keeping it as a first person, however i will use shots to show character walk down a street etc. to give an overview of the situation, trying to give it an overall feel of a game/making the audience feel as if their there. i understand that this is a risky move but i am hoping that this fresh style will spark interest.

the genre of the movie is a crime/thriller which will be clear through the characters personality's and the roles that they play within the story easily being able to distinguish between the cop and killer making the crime thriller genre clearly represented, as well as the situations and mysteries that occur

You need much more depth here.....

I want to know about how you intend to use editing, cinematography, mise-en-scene and editing.

I want to know about representation, narrative structure and generic conventions.
